I was wondering, how did you get them to look so similar to the sectors in the master map? The master map seems to have been made by a fractal generator like Donjon's, so did you make the hex map by hand along with all the climates, or did you find a way to convert fractal maps into hex maps?
If it's the latter, I would be very interested in knowing how you accomplished that.
What I actually do is cut the chunk of the map I'm working on out using MSPaint, bring it into Excel and then size it to approximately the dimensions of the map (not the size of the finished map, just the relative dimensions). After that I just eyeball it.
